About me –

I am a mother of two sons and a daughter. They are all married and each has one child at this point. My favorite role in life has been motherhood and now grandmotherhood! I am blessed with an amazing family and consider them my favorite people in the world and my dearest friends. Oh, we aren’t perfect by any stretch. We simply love each other through the growing pains and allow each other to make mistakes then move on. Conversations about family are definitely a part of this forum. Feel free to share your thoughts.

I have worked in higher education for more than twenty years as an Academic Advisor and have a tremendous soft spot in my heart for college-age people and their transition from high school, leaving home and family, while trying to become the person they were meant to be. It’s been an interesting career and I have endless stories to share if that is the conversation you want to have.

I am first and foremost a person who is loved and saved by Jesus Christ my Savior. I am not affiliated with a particular religion and don’t plan on making “Coffee Talks” a forum for criticism for any individual belief system. I simply know what I believe and who I put my hope and faith in for eternal life. It’s foundational to who I am, and my core beliefs are centered in the Word of God . . . the bible. I love sharing His Word as a means of encouragement hope and healing should conversations go that direction.

I have been married for 40 years to the same amazing person. It’s one of my proudest accomplishments when you consider what that entails! Someone has put up with me for a very long time, and we continue to get to know each other through life’s crazy ups and downs. I think this one for keeps! Conversations about relationships are one of my favorite things to discuss. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
